2019 Autumn Leaf Festival and Parade

This is Leavenworth’s longest running event. The Autumn Leaf Festival celebrates the turning colors of the Autumn Leaves and is the town’s original festival; originating in 1964 when the City of Leavenworth adopted the Bavarian theme. At this same time, the Washington State Autumn Leaf Festival Association (ALFA) was formed by volunteers in the Leavenworth community to promote the village around the Northwest. Today ALFA is part of Northwest Festival Hosting, an organization that promotes tourism across the northwest. As a member of Nortwest Hosting ALFA attends 14 festivals in 17 cities from Portland to Vancouver, BC and Seattle to Spokane. ALFA’s participation in these community events exposes Leavenworth to over 3.2 million people.
